After surviving throat cancer in 2019, this Moderat song used to go through my head all the time. Now that I've started to re-enter the realm of vocals, I'm doing little vocal excercises like recording my own Anthony (H)version of this amazing song industrial/EBM style to help stretch my vocal chords, so be kind, this is a journey for me to get back to my original vocal strength. I hope you like this FREE download of one of my favourite songs of all time. I also urge you to check out the original by Moderat & the Robot Koch version from the tv show Dark if you get a second.

This is an absolute rhythmic mayhem, not categorizable in any precise genre. The industrial feeling is to be perceived across all tracks but the emphasis on the rhythm section is consistently impressive. Signs contains a tropic main melodic synth line that evolves and dissolves throughout the track, so that the tropos cannot be recognized anymore

This is a tangle of influences - small, well-rounded, tightly stitched: industrial rock with bits of dark electro, EBM & synthwave. All of this feels like an anthology of novels written by scum & victim of the Earth, describing someone's life under the Skynet's oppression, which mimics the real life experience too. Robotic & humane, dystopic & distain. Not without flaws though. Growly vocals can be over the top, some lyrics are edgy as border crossing & guitar-percussion alliance is overdone.
